  • Juvederm Injections

At Delray Eye Associates, P.A., we offer Juvederm injections to patients seeking a minimally invasive cosmetic solution to combat obvious signs of aging. Juvederm has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, particularly nasolabial folds (lines that extend from the nose to the corners of the mouth). In addition, Juvederm dermal filler can also be used to enhance lip volume and reshape cheek contours.

Delray Eye Associates, P.A. is proud to have Dr. Jan Kronish providing Juvederm for our patients.

    How Does Juvederm Work?

Juvederm is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the human body that is gradually depleted during the aging process. By injecting the substance back into the body, our doctors are able to bolster skin elasticity and provide patients with a smooth, supple facial appearance. In addition to adding volume, Juvederm hydrates the skin, thus making the results appear more natural. The final aesthetic outcome of Juvederm is generally evident within a few days following treatment and may last from six to nine months, after which the hyaluronic acid is safely absorbed by the body.

    How Is Juvederm Administered?

Juvederm is injected into the dense inner layer of the skin, which is composed of a complex network of nerves and blood vessels. During the procedure, your surgeon may use topical anesthesia to minimize any discomfort. The treatment generally takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Some patients may experience minor swelling and/or bruising at the injection site for one to two days. Patients who wish to maintain the results of Juvederm require follow-up injections. Juvederm does not require any recovery time, and patients may proceed with their daily routine immediately following treatment.

To schedule a one-on-one consultation with one of our cosmetic specialists or learn more about Juvederm, please call our office at (561) 498-8100 or (561) 734-0267. During your appointment, our physicians will help you determine the best facial filler for you.

If you are concerned about fine lines around the eyes, our doctors might recommend injections of Botox. However, if you have extensive wrinkles and deep lines around the eyes, you might benefit from a surgical treatment, such as eyelid surgery.
